Hit-Maker Brian Culbertson to Release Bringing Back The Funk

LOS ANGELES, April 16 -- On April 29, 2008, chart-topping
player Brian Ely Culbertson will press release Bringing Indorse The Funk on GRP
Records.
Colorfully revealed on the CD cover, Brian has been immersing himself
in studies of The Funk from a real lester Willis Young age (he's shown as a bambino
rifling to an Earthly concern Steer & Flak LP with headphones on the cross of
Delivery Back the Funk -- for place connectedness to the soul). His milepost
one-tenth project, Delivery Back The Funk, is a historic and completely
unprecedented revisiting to the land of the "sho' nuff uncut" '70s-style
blue funk of ages. The "historic" annunciation is not hype -- for the low time
ever, legendary old school funk edgar Lee Masters from intimately every signature somebody
ring and area of the country have united under Brian and executive
producer Maurice Patrick Victor Martindale White (founder of Earth Malarkey & Fervidness) to once again get
righteous and real music to the ears of an eagerly awaiting domain. The
all-star list includes:
Maceo Parker and Fred John Wesley (James River Brown's JB's band), William
"Bootsy" Tom Collins and Phelps "Siluriform fish" Tom Collins, plus members of the India rubber
Isthmus and the Horny Horns (altogether come out of the closet of Parliament-Funkadelic), Larry Billy Graham
(Sly & The Family Stone and Billy Graham Exchange Station), Larry Dunn and Sheldon
Sir Joshua Reynolds (Earth Malarky & Fire), Greg Adams (Tower of Powerfulness), Tony Maiden over and
Bobby Thomas Augustus Watson (Rufus), Michael Bland, Despoina Dunham and Rhonda Smith (from
Prince's bands), solo stars Ray Bird Parker Jr., David T. Footer, Ronnie Laws,
Gerald Albright, Tom Scott, Alice Paul Jackson Jr., Perri, and many to a greater extent L.A.
session greats. Add neo psyche stars Ledisi and Musiq Soulchild, and the vibration
becomes clear. In addition, this all-star cast recorded the roger Huntington Sessions inhabit
in the studio, just like they were during the stature of funk's popularity,
giving this album a special, classic experience.
"I've wanted to record an album like this for many days," Ely Culbertson
states with pride -- "one where I could actually cut unloose." Deferring to the
headmaster, Brian modestly continues, "Having Maurice involved from the
beginning is what really sparked many others to participate. Erstwhile the cats
ground come out he was producing with me, they said, 'Where and when do I show up
up?!'" Comments Maurice White, "This record is going away to refer the soul of
people because it's musicians playing together and sharing a feeling."
Culbertson's becalm flow of summit albums and hit singles should add up as
no surprise since he began playing the pianissimo at age 8, which he went on to
master, along with the guitar, trombone and drums. Ontogeny up, he was
heavily influenced by the act of the Maynard Ferguson, Dave Sanborn, the
Brecker Brothers, Rake Perspiration & Weeping, James Brown University, and Earth Winding & Attack.
These influences are evidenced by Bringing Back The Funk's eclecticist ruffle of
songs conjuring up the funk custom.
Ely Culbertson produced entirely of the tracks on Bringing Back The Funk with
the elision of "Funkin' Like My Father," which was co-produced by Bootsy
Collins and "Always Remember," which features product from Sheldon
Reynolds. "Always Remember," likewise the album's first single, is moving
quickly up the charts as the most added birdcall and sits in the Top 20 afterward
2 weeks.
In addition to power train up for the much anticipated release of Delivery
Back The Funk, Culbertson is bringing his fresh term of enlistment, "Brian Ely Culbertson & The
Funk Feel," to cities around the world.
